What an empty hour in your calendar costs you
An hour with no booking is income you never get back. Enter your numbers and see what empty hours add up to per month and per year, for the whole team.
The starting values are only an example. Use your real income per hour, not your list price, and the empty hours you count in your own calendar.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere.
How it is calculated
Empty hours per year = empty hours per week per team member × team members × working weeks.
Income lost per year = empty hours per year × average income per booked hour. Per month = the yearly figure divided by 12.
What you could win back = income lost per year × the share you think you can fill. That share is your own assumption: it depends on demand, on how late a slot opens up and on how many clients are on your waitlist.
How to fill empty hours
- Keep a waitlist and tell clients automatically when a slot opens up.
- When a client is in, offer to book the next visit there and then.
- Send recall messages to clients who have not been back for a while.
- Show your free times online, so people can book in the evening and at weekends.
- Offer quieter hours at a better price or for short services.
Do this automatically with Agendessa
Agendessa offers freed slots to your waitlist, sends recall messages and lets clients book online, day and night.
Frequently asked questions
What does average income per booked hour mean?
What you take on average in one hour spent with a client. Divide a month of takings by the hours you actually worked that month.
How do I know how many empty hours I have?
Look at the last 4 weeks in your calendar and count the hours you were available but had no booking. Divide by 4.
Is the win back percentage taken from a study?
No. It is an assumption you choose. Start low, with 20 or 30%, and adjust it once you see how many slots you filled in the first month.
Does the calculator save my data?
No. The maths runs in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.
